grow software with AI
creating software with AI is more like tending to a garden than architecting a program. you plant seeds of ideas. encourage the bits flow to create something valuable. then you nourish those seeds iteratively.
gone are the days where you plan the entire system, top-down, at the onset of the project. top-down planning still has value, but it's not the entire process anymore. allow the structure to be flexible and grow in the direction it wants to grow. just like you would with exotic plant life in your garden.
if you are the type of engineer who's had success training yourself to follow entirely linear-logical plans this will be difficult to do. you've probably created immense value doing things the old way. it *was* the best way to do it, no doubt. but i'd encourage you to experiment with letting go of the reigns a bit. watch what happens.
the program is your block of marble, and the code agent is your chisel. you don't need to top down plan every aspect of the software any more. you can reveal the software using your code agent chisel iteratively, over time, much like a sculptor would.
